The Evidence

UPDATE:

We know that in 2018 the New York State Attorney General's Office started investigating the NYPD and DA's Office for the coverup of Weinstein's abuse of Ambra Gutierrez. We also know that the investigation stalled, and was reopened in 2021. At that time, the AG's Office hired an outside firm (Home - T&M USA) to conduct the investigation. But, again, that investigation was stopped.

NOW: we have FOILed the AG's Office to find out what they uncovered, and why the investigations were buried. We will not stop until we get justice.

Read the FOIL request here.

The Cover-Up: Evidence of a Conspiracy

False Narrative

Prosecutors claimed the sting operation was unauthorized and dismissed Weinstein's audio confession despite clear evidence of criminal conduct.

Witness Manipulation

Manhattan DA’s Office coordinated counter-investigation to discredit Gutierrez.

Defamation

The Weinstein machine destroyed Gutierrez in media hit pieces with false allegations against her, claiming she was a promiscuous and litigious liar.

Destroyed Evidence

NYPD buried inculpatory evidence to shield Weinstein

Systematic Dismissal

Investigation reveals a consistent pattern of sidelining or dismissing survivor allegations against Weinstein.

Survivors Silenced: Impact Beyond Ambra

Continued Victimization by Weinstein

Due to burying this case, Weinstein had the means, opportunity and support of law enforcement to continue reoffending…and he did.

Chilling Effect

Widespread reluctance to testify developed as survivors witnessed the system's failure to protect Ambra.

Ongoing Trauma

The betrayal by law enforcement compounded the original trauma for Weinstein's victims.

Forced Settlements

Settlement payouts coupled with intimidation tactics kept survivors from seeking justice in the courtroom.

Systemic Corruption in NYC's Justice System

Power Protection: Elite networks shield powerful offenders

Financial Influence: Campaign contributions affect case outcomes

Industry Pressure: Media and business ties compromise investigations

Selective Justice: Two-tiered system serves the well-connected

This systemic corruption extends beyond the Weinstein case, revealing how NYC's justice system consistently protects powerful individuals while abandoning victims who lack influence or resources.

Demands for Change: Accountability Now

Independent Investigation: We demand a thorough, transparent investigation into how NYPD and the DANY's office handled the Gutierrez case, with full access to all records and personnel.

Remove Corrupt Officials: Officials who participated in the cover-up or obstructed justice must be identified and removed from positions of authority in our justice system.

Policy Reform: Implement comprehensive reforms to protect whistleblowers, support survivors, and prevent powerful individuals from influencing case outcomes.
